It is with a heavy heart that I announce my father, Werner Steffen, passed away peacefully of natural causes. For those of you fortunate enough to have known "Stef", know what an incredible husband, father brother and grandfather he was to his family. He was gregarious, funny and kind with a warm spirit and generous heart. Born to German immigrants and raised in the Bronx N.Y., he worked at a young age in his parents’ Deli. He became a Naval Officer in the rank of Commander where he served 22 years, then moving onto the banking industry as an executive before retiring. As one of his three sons, I felt lucky to have grown up in San Diego, California and still call it home. A man of deep faith, at the age of 87, has left this earth for his new journey. He will truly be missed by friends, colleagues and family. by Mark Steffen
