Chester A. Murphy VIRGINIA BEACH - Chester A. Murphy, 88, passed away July 19, 2012, in Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. He was a native of Canton, Ohio and served as commander in the U.S. Navy for 28 years. Chester is predeceased by his loving wife, Paulyne D. Murphy. He is survived by his daughter, Maureen M. Paden and husband Richard; a son, Chester A. Murphy III and wife Glenda; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Plaza Virginia Beach Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 2128, Virginia Beach, 23450. H.D. Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
