Malcolm Kreske, who worked for the Department of Defense, died March 9 in Port Charlottle, Fla. He was 86. Fond of golf, tennis, traveling around the world, and playing with his grandchildren, he ushered at the Cleveland Play House. Born in Cleveland, Mr. Kreske graduated from high school in Columbus and earned his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from The Ohio State University, where he won table tennis tournaments. He received his MBA from Miami University. During World War II, Mr. Kreske was a U.S. Navy Beach Jumper in the Pacific theater. He received a Purple Heart. He was a member of Park Synagogue, Jewish War Veterans, The Ohio State Alumni Association, and the U.S. Navy Beach Jumpers Association. Mr. Kreske is survived by his wife of 49 years Shirley; daughters Kathi of Sede Boger, Israel, and Sandra; and three grandchildren. Contributions are suggested to Jewish War Veterans.
