Raymond R. Summa May 29, 1951 - July 3, 2019     Prospect, CT Raymond R. Summa  “Loving husband, father & brother” Raymond R. Summa, 68, of Prospect, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Anne (Ortone) Summa. Raymond was born in Waterbury, CT on May 29, 1951, son of the late Rocco and Domenica (Porretti) Summa. He graduated from local schools and was a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a master’s degree in management. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Raymond worked as an AS9100 Supplier Quality Systems Auditor for Collins Aerospace for the past 11 years and previously worked for Sikorsky Aircraft. He did a lot of international travel for work and was an expert in his field. He was a member of ASME for 32 years. Raymond was a motorcycle enthusiast and won many trophies in racing. He also loved sportscars and making wine. He was an excellent cook and took great pleasure in preparing gourmet meals for his family and friends. His Italian dishes and sauce were considered to be the best. Besides his wife, Anne of Prospect, Raymond leaves his children, John R. Summa and Margaux Summa both of Waterbury, his sisters, Ann Cianciolo and her husband, Gene of Waterbury, Gloria Caron and her companion, Frank Cook of Prospect and several nieces and nephews.  Arrangements: Calling hours for Raymond will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT. Funeral service and burial of his cremains will be at the Calvary Queen of Peace Columbarium on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 12:00 p.m.
