‘Turbo Vestri Hostilis’
James L. Hollers Sr. NORFOLK - James Lee Hollers Sr., of the 4900 block of Colonial Ave., passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at a local hospital. James was born Oct. 24, 1942 in Terre Haute, Ind., the son of the late John L. and Irene Bryant Hollers. He retired after 24 years in the U.S. Navy where he was a veteran of Vietnam. He also retired after working 20 years with civil service. James is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Buckles Hollers; three sons, James, Ronald and Gary Hollers, all of Norfolk; a granddaughter, Megan; a grandson, Addison; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dan Hollers of Fairmount, Ind. He was predeceased by his sister, Vickie Hollers Clarno. A memorial service and interment at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery are pending. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Norfolk SPCA.
