‘Turbo Vestri Hostilis’
James P. Long of Dover passed away, Monday, March 7, 2016 peacefully at home. He was 80. Mr. Long was born March 1, 1936 in Rockaway Beach, New York to the late James P. Long and Edna M. Moehn Long. He proudly served in the United States Navy and then the Reserves (CDR  class of 61'), for 20+ years, retiring in 1981. Mr. Long was a member of the local Irish Society. He enjoyed working with habit for humanity. He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth M. Long “Liz” of Mundelein, IL, Jennifer C Brock and grandson Matthew Brock of NC. A memorial service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to “Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity” 544 Webbs Lane, Dover, DE 19904.   © Torbert Funeral Chapels
