Charles Douglas Reynolds, age 76 of Southport, passed away at his home with his wife at his bedside on November 30, 2021. Charles was born on May 2, 1945 in Riverside, NJ to the late Baden Powell and Marie Reynolds. Charles did many things in his life; from being in the Navy in the mid 60s, to being in the Homicide department and Fraud Investigator for the police department. He was also an avid woodworker and enjoyed making furniture. Charles loved to travel, pulling the camper up to Montana and travelling back home, which was a bucket list trip he took with his beloved wife, Barbara. He also enjoyed reading up on history and had many texts on the subject, as could be seen by the many volumes he collected. Anything he could learn about history, Charles was participating in. He also loved music, anything from classical to jazz to The Beach Boys. But, most importantly, he loved people. He thrived on gathering friends and family around his table, sharing in stories and life and laughter. Charles was also an incredibly proud U.S. Navy Veteran, and he was pinned on November 27, 2021. He was overjoyed for this pinning ceremony, and beamed with pride as he recalled the event with his wife a short time after. Charles will be missed by all those that knew and loved him. Charles is survived by his loving wife Barbara, two daughters Cindy (Phil) and Kimberly (Ryan), and two grandchildren Karrington and Carter, all of whom he loved dearly, as well as many other family members and friends. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
