Criteria for MEMBERSHIP in the U S Navy Beach Jumpers Association: 1. Former or current member of the U.S. Navy or Navy Reserve and 2. been assigned to a Beach Jumper Unit (BJU) between 1943-72, or Fleet Composite Operational Readiness Group Atlantic or Pacific (FCG1 or FCG2) between 1972-1986, or Fleet Tactical Deception Group Atlantic or Pacific (FDG1 or 2) between 1986-1993, or Fleet Electronic Warfare Support Group (FEWSG) between 1986-1993, or Command and Control Warfare Group Atlantic or Pacific (CCW1 or 2) between 1993-1995, or Fleet Tactical Readiness Group (FTRG) between 1991-1993, or Fleet Information Warfare Center (FIWC) between 1995-2005, or Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) between 2005-March 2018, or Naval Information Warfare Training Group (NIWTG) between March 2018 to present, and 3. received an Honorable Discharge ( or are currently serving honorably on active duty) and 4. pay the annual dues assessment of $25.00. (Initial assessment of $25.00 is for application processing and dues for the current calendar year of application, or portion thereof.) APPLICATION/DUES FYI: 1. The Admin Office has rec'd many applications in the past where the applicants have not sent in the required $25.00 initial process fee (which is applied to the first year or portion of first year dues) and therefore the application is sitting dormant. If you have applied and not heard anything back, this may be the reason. Applications will not be processed without the application fee, this includes new members age 80 or older. Remember to include a copy of your DD214 attesting to your BJ duty assignment. 2. Regarding dues, a member is listed as not in good standing (inactive) after a dues lapse of one year. Members not in good standing must pay two years dues to be reinstated to good standing (active) status. Some members have sent in a new application thinking that this step can be by-passed. If you have a member number on file (since our inception) you cannot become a new member, you just need to pay up the two years dues. This rule was voted in by the membership in October 2009. 3. Regular members 80 years of age or older, are voluntarily dues exempt at their own discretion. To those members who are 80+ and continue to pay annually, we appreciate your contribution. If you make a donation you will receive a membership ID card for the year of your donation. First time applicants 80 years or older, must pay the initial $25.00 application fee.
