Roger A. Nagel, of Olcott, NY, entered into rest Wednesday, October 29, 2008 in Medina Memorial Hospital. He was born in Lockport, NY on October 7, 1948, the son of the late Laverne and Frances Bucolo Nagel. Roger was a veteran of the US Navy, serving his country from 1966-1968 in Okinawa in the Beach Jumper Unit #1. Roger married Jean Kanehl October 21, 1972 in Warrens Corners United Methodist Church. He worked for General Motors-Harrison Radiator in Lockport for 31 years, retiring in 1999. Roger was an avid bowler and scored two perfect games. He bowled for the UAW Bowling League. Roger was an avid Harley Davison Motorcycle rider. He enjoyed hunting and had a vegetable garden he enjoyed working in. Husband of Jean Kanehl Nagel. Father of Jason Nagel of Buffalo, NY and Chuck (Kristina) Nagel of Newfane, NY. Grandfather of Melanie Nagel and Charles Nagel, Jr. Brother of Dorothea Parete of Niagara Falls, NY and the late Charles Nagel. Uncle of Patricia Parete of Orchard Park, NY, Tony (Joyce) Parete of Olcott, NY, Stephen and Jonathan Knapp of Webster, NY.
