Robert Edward Rainie Oct, 12, 1921 - Sept. 28, 2014 Resident of Keaau, Hawaii Bob was born and raised in Fresno, California. During World War II, he was a member of the Navy's deception and psychological warfare Beach Jumpers Unit 1. He spent most of his career working for Lockheed-Martin and the National Security Agency, while raising his family in Saratoga, California. He was a tae kwon do master and Han Moo Kwan Association board member. Bob is survived by his wife, Anna Rainie of Keaau; daughters, Jo (George) Rainie Rodgers of Saratoga and Christine (Thomas) Balch of Petaluma; son, Brian (Kelly) Rainie of Sunnyvale; five grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Memorial donations to U.S. Navy Beach Jumpers Association or Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Sunday, Nov. 2 in Saratoga.
