Harold P. Conley, Jr. age 66, entered into eternal life Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Born in the Bronx, NY he was the son of the late Harold and Catherine Flynn Conley. Harold served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War from 1967-1969, he was also a member of the BEACH JUMPER UNIT. He was employed with the NYS D.A.V. as a Veterans Counselor for over 20 years. He retired in 2002, a member of PEF (NYS Retirees). In his spare time Harold was an active member of the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Tri-County Council of Vietnam Veterans, the Joseph E. Zaloga Post 1520 American Legion, Forty and Eight (Voiture 348), the American Red Cross, the Capitol Region Center for Independence, the Albany VA and a representative for VAVS, Capitol District FOOLS, and the Blue Vests. Harold was also an active member of the Shaker Road Loudonville Fire Dept. as a fire police officer and veteran’s counselor, the Albany Co. Fire Police Association and a former adult leader with the Boy Scouts of America. Beloved husband of 36 years to Audrey Strobel and loving father of Audrey C. Conley of East Greenbush and Daniel Conley of Melrose. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, June 7, 2015 at The Tebbutt Funeral Home, 633 Central Ave. Albany. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home Sunday, 1:00 to 3:00 before the service. Inurnment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Donations in Harold’s memory may be made to the Shaker Rd. Loudonville Fire Dept. 550 Albany Shaker Rd. Loudonville, NY 12211.
