Dinny Huffman Obituary Published by Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home from Sep. 11 to Sep. 13, 2016. HUFFMAN, Dinny, 81, of Richmond, formerly of Springfield, Ohio, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 8, 2016. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 61 years, Mary Ellen Huffman; sons, Steve Huffman (Cindy) and Greg Huffman (Dorothy); six grandchildren, Jennifer Serena (Johnny), Chris Huffman, Meg Pickeral (Travis), Patrick Huffman (Jentri), Catie Huffman (Max Ruth), Amie Jacobson (Russell); eight great-grandchildren, numerous other family and friends. Dinny served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War Era. He began his business career in Ashville, N.C., with General Electric, retiring after 39 years as a National Account Manager in the Housewares Division, where he won numerous sales awards. After retiring he co-owned the G.E. Employee Store in Lynchburg, Va. and Raleigh N.C. Dinny was an active Shriner and member of the Chanter's Choir. As a 45-year member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, he was a teacher, active choir member, served as a Deacon and Deacon Chairman and played a significant role in promoting the growth of the church over the years.
