Donald Dean Hilton
December 7, 1930 - June 29, 2023 U.S. Veteran A loving husband, doting father and adored Poppy was joyously welcomed into Heaven on June 29, 2023, surrounded by his four adoring daughters. Donald Dean Hilton was born to the late Elmer and Florence Hilton on December 7, 1930, on a farm in Hunnewell, Kansas. He was raised in Drury, Kansas, where he graduated from Caldwell High School in 1949. He married the love of his life, Imogene Kloefkorn, in 1954. They shared 65 years of marriage and raised four daughters. He was an experienced story teller, focusing on his childhood adventures and his military career in the Navy (1952-1955). He graduated from Kansas University with a degree in Business Administration. As a devoted member of Riverlawn Christian Church for 61 years, he taught Sunday School, served as a Deacon, Elder, and Sunday School superintendent. Don retired as a VP of Marketing at Silvey Companies Insurance. Donald is survived by his four daughters; Gail (Paul) Bowen, Dawn Pratt, Julie (the late Jeff) Sones and Ann (Chris) Stuever and his sister, Donna (the late Dwayne) David. His loving legacy is his 16 grandchildren; Ashley, Keith III, Cady, Dylan, Aubree, Casy, Evan, Martin, Audrey, Victor, Corbin, Kylie, Nolan, Addison, Peyton and Avery. He was additionally blessed with 19 great grandchildren; Autumn, Mia, Riley, Phebe, Gracen, Kingston, Bodey, Charlie, Cardiff, Willow, Ella, Charlotte, Krew, Trae, Oaklyn, Poppy, Woodlyn, Waylon, Ali and another on the way. The visitation will be 5-7:00pm Friday, July 7, 2023. The Celebration of Life will be 10:00am Saturday, July 8, 2023, both at Riverlawn Christian Church. Graveside services will follow at 2:00pm at Caldwell City Cemetery in Caldwell, Ks. In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that contributions be given to the Kansas Honor Flight - in memory of Don Hilton (kansashonorflight.org/donate) or (P.O.Box 2371, Hutchinson, Ks 67504).
